INTO THE REWILD

Many individuals and communities are taking decisive action to restore wildlife and ecosystems. Across the globe, people are leading initiatives to reconnect with nature, offering a new way forward through rewilding to address the immense pressures human activities have placed on life on Earth. This episode is with Francis Hallé.

As the scientific advisor and a contributor to the writing of Into the Rewild, I help shape a collection of documentary films, podcasts and articles that highlight these transformative efforts. Each film showcases tangible projects where nature is being restored, inviting viewers to reimagine our relationship with the wild and be part of this movement for renewal.

Created by Arnaud Hiltzer and Aurélie Miquel.

AR7 Idea Generation Workshops- September 2023- MAy 2024

Exploring Ideas for the IPCC Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) workshop, held in September 2023 at the Royal Society in London. The workshop brought together 170 policymakers, practitioners, and IPCC authors from 62 countries to explore ways to make IPCC reports more actionable for end users, such as policymakers and decision-makers. Participants co-created ideas, focusing on three major themes: assessing climate solutions rather than problems, improving regional risk and adaptation assessments, and engaging more with end-users’ decision-making needs. The workshop emphasized that all stakeholders play a role in making IPCC reports more actionable, with suggestions provided for various actors based on their roles.

In the presence of the main authors, co-authors and contributors to the IPCC and the Chair of the IPCC, Jim Skea.

Project carried out by CS now, DCNEZ and UCL Climate Action Unit for the IPCC.

Conference and Workshops - Granville Climate WEEK

1142869.webp

Over 3 days,  I delivered a conference on communication and climate change, facilitated a workshop with companies and private sector representatives on systemic risks, and took part in a roundtable discussion to evaluate the progress made within the region. It was an enriching experience to engage with diverse stakeholders and contribute to advancing local climate initiatives.
