The team

Jonathan is an interdisciplinary expert in risk management, natural hazards, and systemic resilience in the context of climate change and the energy transition. He holds a research fellowship at the UCL Climate Action Unit at University College London (one of the top ten global universities). Since 2016, he has also extended his expertise to teaching, serving as Lead Guest Teacher in the Geography and Environment department at the London School of Economics, renowned for its worldwide excellence (ranked 2nd globally in QS rankings). In recognition of his dedication, Jonathan received the Highly Commended Teaching Award at LSE in 2022.

Throughout his career, Jonathan has worked to bridge the gap between academic insight and real-world application, including his significant work with the Mining Minister in Chile to address natural hazards affecting mining operations. He developed his own PhD research project under the auspices of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). His diverse career has been marked by extensive collaborations with stakeholders ranging from entrepreneurs to national governments, adapting strategies to fit varied professional environments.

Jonathan is driven by a core belief that making complex knowledge widely accessible is essential for empowering others to take action. Fueled by this passion, he founded SYRA to democratize understanding and responses to climate change and systemic risks. Through SYRA, Jonathan employs tools such as systemic analysis, neuroscience, and tailored workshops to transform complex challenges into actionable strategies. His work underscores his commitment to helping diverse audiences develop effective resilience strategies, enabling them to confidently navigate today’s evolving challenges and those of the future.

Aymeric is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur with a rich background spanning the retail, finance, and education industries. A graduate of Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Commerciales d’Angers with a Master of Management & Financial Auditing, Aymeric began his career as a financial auditor, gaining valuable experience at prestigious firms such as Nexia and Deloitte, where he honed his skills in financial strategy and operational management.

As an entrepreneur, Aymeric has successfully navigated companies through significant growth phases, strategic challenges, and profitable exits. His ability to transform complex business environments into thriving enterprises has established him as a dynamic leader capable of turning obstacles into opportunities. At SYRA, Aymeric brings this unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and strategic planning to the forefront of climate resilience, leveraging his experience to address one of the greatest challenges of our time.
